The debut artist book from Vincent Namatjira. Featuring superb reproductions of Namatjira’s 2020 series ‘The Royal Tour’, comprised of 20 works where Namatjira painted directly onto pages from found commemorative royal photo-books. The repurposed images in The Royal Tour are rich in irreverent humour and continue Namatjira’s ongoing interrogation of Australia’s colonial history and how this is intertwined with his own personal history. The Royal Tour includes an essay by Tony Albert.
